Payment 

• Block Bookings, Semi Intensive & Pass Plus lessons must be paid in advance by bank transfer or cash 
• Payment for all other lessons must be made either at the start of each lesson in cash or in advance by bank transfer 
• The option to pay via cash may be phased out and replaced by a contactless payment system (students will be notified of this change before a booking is confirmed) 

Block Bookings & Semi Intensive Courses 

• Pupils must provide two weeks’ notice to cancel/rearrange any block bookings or semi intensive lessons which have been scheduled into the instructor’s diary. Refunds will not be granted if you fail to provide such notice 
• Where you have pre-paid for lessons but fail to attend it will be counted as a lesson taken and deducted from any remaining sessions 
• All block bookings must be used within 6 months of purchase and refunds will not be given for any lessons that are not booked and used within this 6 month period 
• You will not be able to sell or transfer any pre-paid driving lessons to a third party 

All other Lessons 

• A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or rearrange Standard, Pass Plus, Refresher or Motorway Lessons. You will be liable for 100% of the lesson fee if you fail to provide such notice 
• Where you have pre-paid for lessons but fail to attend or you fail to provide 48 hours’ notice (to cancel or rearrange), it will be counted as a lesson taken and deducted from any remaining sessions 
• You will not be able to sell or transfer any pre-paid driving lessons to a third party 

Student Responsibilities 

• You must present your valid UK provisional driving licence (or other appropriately valid licence) prior to the start of your initial lesson – the driving instructor cannot by law permit you to drive without this document 
• Failure to provide your licence will result in cancellation of your first lesson, the full cost of which will still be chargeable 
• You must notify your instructor of any matters affecting your ability or entitlement to receive driving tuition (e.g medical conditions, revoked licence etc) 
• You must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol when taking lessons 
• The use of the training vehicle will be withdrawn if a student is deemed to be in an unfit condition due to substance or alcohol abuse. You will be liable for the full lesson fee for any sessions terminated under such circumstances 
• Please ensure you attend lessons on time. Other students will be booked in after your session, so the driving instructor is unable to add time to the end of your lesson to compensate for late arrival 
• Your instructor will wait for a maximum of 15 minutes at the pre-arranged pick up point. If no contact is made by you during this time, your instructor will leave and you will be liable for the full lesson fee 
• Unforeseen circumstances (such as breakdowns, accidents, traffic hold ups) may infrequently lead to your instructor arriving late. Should this occur, every effort will be made to extend your session by the same amount of time or to add the time on to a future lesson 

Practical Driving Test 

• Pupils must agree any test date with the driving instructor in advance 
• The driving instructor’s car will only be made available for a test if there are no other prior teaching commitments and if the pupil is deemed to have reached test standard 
• For safety reasons, the use of the car may be withdrawn (without notice) if a candidate is deemed not to have reached test standard 
• The instructor cannot be responsible for tests cancelled by the DVSA. Lessons booked on this day will have to be paid for, but can be claimed back from the DVSA 

Marketing 

• KP Driving Academy is passionate about providing first class driving tuition and welcomes student testimonials which endorse this service 
• On completion of training, pupils will be asked to submit a photograph, testimonial and/or review for marketing purposes 
• KP Driving Academy respects your privacy at all times and accepts your right to refuse or consent to providing such material. Any students wishing to withhold their details from promotional use, must confirm this request in writing
• Students who do provide such material agree to its use and inclusion on KP Driving Academy’s website, social media and all related marketing
